Ian Munday , golfer and fundraiser

Ian is a long-standing member of Bohunt Manor Golf Club in Liphook. Over 16 years ago he started collecting golf balls he found on the course and started to sell them. He is now so well known for this that others collect and give him their old or found golf balls.

Not only does he collect but he also cleans and grades the golf balls. He bags them up and distributes them to local shops and retail outlets, which fits in well with his work as a stationery provider.

Nothing goes to waste – Ian found a company in Blackpool who will take any poor-quality golf balls. He boxes them up and sends them off and in return he gets a small fee. From there the balls are recycled.

By 1st August 2022 Ian has raised over £70,000 to help fund our local palliative care service. A huge thank you to Ian for 16 years of hard work and dedication.
