About Alexander

Alex is a Trustee.

Alex retired in 2021 as Principal GP at the Riverbank Medical Centre in Midhurst, where he worked for over 29 years. He continues to teach first year medical students at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

As a GP Alex worked closely with the Midhurst Macmillan Service and its clinical team. He has seen first-hand how much they have added to the quality-of-life of his patients and their families. As a Trustee he wants to ensure that the service remains excellent and he hopes that the new charity will be able to increase their range of services offered.

In his spare time Alex enjoys walking on the South Downs and the Devon coastal paths, paddleboarding, real tennis and lawn tennis. He is also a keen musician, and has played in a band “Mid Life Crisis” for over 27 years, although he claims now that they are all beyond the “mid” bit!
